You will need to meet with an Academic Advisor to get started again at DMACC. To regain eligibility to register for classes, you must sit out a fall or spring semester. There is the option to submit an academic disqualification appeal if you encountered unusual or extenuating circumstances that prevented you from maintaining Satisfactory Academic Progress. It is encouraged that you schedule an appointment with an advisor to discuss your individual situation. You only appeal if you do not want to sit out a semester/term. After you sit out a semester/term, you will need to complete an academic improvement plan each semester/term until you are back in good academic standing.
If you plan to apply for financial aid, please contact the Financial Aid Office to check on your Financial Aid Satisfactory Academic Progress status. To qualify for financial aid, you must maintain a cumulative GPA of 2.0 or higher, and a minimum pace of completion of 67%.
